Karen and Stuart welcome you to the Old School House B&B in Kingsbridge, South Devon which they have run since 1997. Built in 1842, this 19th century converted Old School House offers superb bed and breakfast with a difference.
Your spacious accommodation comprises the entire ground floor of this beautiful stone building including own front door, hallway where your dining table is located, en-suite shower room, large bedroom with one very comfortable double bed flanked by two single beds and lounge area with leather Chesterfields overlooking own secluded garden. Ideal for a couple or a family up to 5, although we are happy to provide single occupancy.
A spacious room with one double and two single beds (there is room to include a further single bed if required), a lounge area with a two seater leather Chesterfield and two matching chairs, overlooking it’s own west-facing secluded garden where you can enjoy the sun in the afternoon and evening. A very comfortable double sofabed is available in a separate room.
The dining table is available for those who would like to enjoy a take-away. There are excellent Indian and Chinese restaurants and great fish and chips all located within a 4 minute walk.
Adjacent to the dining area is our games room in which you can enjoy a game of bar billiards.
Other facilities include a flat screen television, hairdryer, iron & ironing board, fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee/tea and wine glasses. A cot and a highchair are also available. Pets (by prior arrangement) are welcome.
We are a non-smoking establishment, however guests are welcome to sit in their private secluded garden. Walkers are most welcome and we are happy to dry any rain soaked gear!

When entering Kingsbridge on the A381 from Totnes, at the first roundabout before Kingsbridge take the first exit signposted to Ledstone and stay on this road, this will bring you in the back way to Kingsbridge. After passing under the pedestrian footbridge and passing the Dodbrooke Inn on the the left you will join the one way system and actually be in Church Street. At the Zebra crossing turn left (you have to) and you will pass our B&B sign on the left. Proceed to to the bottom of the hill and turn left in front of the King of Prussia Pub into Ebrington Street and then left into Saffron Park, just after No 44 at the brow of the hill turn left into the garage complex.
Park in the single garage in the bottom left hand corner (adjacent to the only double garage) please do not park outside as the double garage is in constant use. Once you have parked your car, walk through a small alleyway between the garages, halfway down the steps ring the doorbell at the side gate on the left.
